Welcome to the space, where we dive into the real deal – being a teenage girl/a young adult. It’s like navigating an aeroplane.. except, you don’t have a clue on how to drive an aeroplane. Well, buckle up because today we’re having some honest “Girl Talk” about the ups and downs, the smiles and the frowns and the challenges and yes, the victories of being a teenage girl in our modern day world.
The Challenge: Finding your voice
Ever felt like your thoughts are on shuffle and you can’t hit pause? Trust me you’re not alone. Finding your voice in a washing machine full of opinions can be tough and it can often feel scrambled. From school to social media, it feels like everyone has something to say whilst you may feel like you have nothing to say at all but to click on to the back of what somebody else is saying and doing. It’s a little bit like trends isn’t it? But here’s the scoop – your voice matters, and we’re here to help you own your voice.
Victory: Celebrating who YOU are
Being a young woman means discovering the incredible, unique you! Embracing the ‘weird bits’, the passions, the desires, the dreams and all the insecurities that make you, well, you. Let’s celebrate your individuality because your story IS worth sharing and you deserve to acknowledge you.

The Challenge: Navigating Friendships
Friendships can be a maze, right? Sometimes you’re lost, and other times you’re on the right path. Girl, we get it. Let’s briefly talk about those tricky ups and downs when it comes to finding your ‘forever people or a ‘forever friend’ and feeling like you are the only person, who doesn’t have that. That feeling sucks right? Well, how can we figure out how to build supportive friendships that stand the test of time?
Victory: Finding empowering friendships
I’ve got good nows, there’s sunshine after the storm. It might not feel like it, or you may have found your tribe! For some it happens instantly and for others, it takes time. I will let you into a little secret, I’ve lost so many friends along this journey and it sucks, but true friendships do and will come along the way and they empower and uplift you, they make you feel supported and heard. So, subscribe to the blog so we can explore together over the next few weeks, how to surround yourself with friends who bring out the best in you and share both the laughter and the crappy times.
The challenge: Perfecting the ‘balancing act’
Balancing school, hobbies, part-time jobs and socialising – it’s like juggling, and sometimes it feels like one too many balls are in the air. Often when trying to balance everything, it can feel like ‘how do I keep those balls in motion without dropping any?’.
Victory: Nailing the balance
Spoiler alert: It’s possible to conquer the balancing act! You just need a little bit of help and support along the way. At The Girls Circle, we know all about the ‘balancing act’ and struggling with managing everything.. along with managing our own minds! (btw, this can be one of THE biggest challenges). Over the next few weeks, we’ll dish out tips and ticks to make your next few years a bit more like, well.. easier.
So let’s unravel the mystery together. This “Girls Talk” series over the next 4 weeks is all about creating a community where we share, uplift and embrace the beautiful journey of being a teenage girl and young woman. Stay tuned for more real talk and victories and don’t forget to comment, what topic you would like to read about over the next few weeks 🌸 xoxo
